Brendan Gielow (Muskegon, MI) made a 6-foot par putt on the 72nd green to finish at 19-under 265 and capture his first professional win and the tournament's $30,000 first-place prize. Gielow, the tournament's 36- and 54-hole leader, made the turn in Saturday's final round with a three-shot lead after a front-nine 33. A double-bogey at the par-3 11th left him one shot clear of the field, but back-to-back birdies at 14 and 15 pushed his lead back up to two. A bogey at the par-3 17th left Gielow one shot ahead of former UGA star Hudson Swafford (Athens, GA), who had posted 18-under in the clubhouse. At the par-5 18th, Gielow's third shot came up short of the green and set up a difficult up-and-down for the win. A chip shot left 6 feet short of the hole set up the winning par putt, which Gielow calmly knocked in the hole for a final-round 70. VIEW ENTIRE RELEASE
